Corporate Retail Security Manager - Brilliant Earth

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Retail Security Manager, responsible for ensuring the safety and security of Brilliant Earth physical assets, employees, and customers. The Corporate Retail Security Manager will oversee, manage, supervise, and coordinate the day-to-day security operations of existing retail and fulfillment center locations and will play a vital role in our new showroom expansion. This leader will work closely with other managers and showroom teams to coordinate security efforts, initiatives, and standards across the company. The Corporate Retail Security Manager is responsible for physical security of inventory and facilities, policy development and compliance, as well as the implementation and incorporation of industry best practices. You will collaborate closely with team members and other leaders across the organization to achieve strategic goals related to security and manage daily security tasks.

What You’ll Do:

• Physical Security
          o Respond to and facilitate necessary action for day-to-day security issues and alerts from security vendors,
central monitoring and staff, including after hours alerts.

          o Own security for new showroom launches as a subject matter expert ensuring: specifying, procuring and installing all physical security components, coordinating with internal teams and vendors to ensure timely installations and developing location security policies while training onsite staff

          o Coordinate with Office Management and IT to ensure staff security access is up to date and documented, conducting regular audits ensuring appropriate employee access.

          o Work with Showroom teams on recurring physical security audits, ensuring high completion rates while addressing deficiencies and opportunities.

          o Oversee implementation of physical security plans and procedures for existing and new showroom locations, including upgrades and changes to intrusion, access control, cameras, hardware and product storage.

          o Manage and optimize the security budget, in line with business goals and objectives.

• Policy Development & Enforcement

          o Continuously improve policies and procedures, update documentation and maintain security resource center for company to reduce risk and achieve shrink goals

          o Promote a strong security culture in our retail locations and fulfillment center, including audit practices, monthly security highlights and education to ensure security is top of mind for all.

          o Evaluate, evolve and update security trainings, to increase employee security knowledge and reduce risk, collaborating with our Training Team to roll out appropriate and timely training.

          o Investigate, address and document security violations, working in conjunction with HR and other company leaders.

          o Own timely and complete security security incident response across the organization. o Lead, coach and develop direct report(s) to manage workload, build scalable processes and further develop their skillset.

          o Ensure compliance with industry best practices and insurance guidelines related to physical product, employee, and customer security.
 

You’re a Great Candidate if You Have:

  • 7+ years corporate security management experience
  • Experience leading high-performing teams to achieve and exceed goals
  • Experience with high value physical product
  • Multi-location experience, retail preferred
  • Robust computer and technical skills, including understanding of integrated security systems and technologies
  • Demonstrated experience building, implementing, and improving upon security strategies, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate effectively and
  • build productive relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Strategic thinking, and solution-oriented approach to problems with a continuous improvement
  • mindset
  • Highly organized with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Understanding and acceptance of diversity, inclusion and belonging principles and best
  • practices.
  • Interest in socially and environmentally responsible products
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferred
